Why little girls like to dress up in princess costumes

Developing minds love to be around lively, fun and eye-catching images because these bring out the natural curiosity they have for the world. It is no wonder why cartoons, cute toys and other colorful things will always be popular with children.

Of course, we need to remember that most children live in their own fantasy bubble and it is only natural for them to want to be part of that magical world. After all, isn’t playfulness a manifestation of that special youthful innocence? Little girls, in particular, are easy to attract with such images. They love to feel pretty and magical like their favorite Disney princesses or their own Barbie dolls. Naturally, the next step would be to imitate these characters by dressing up like them.

In that case, if you are planning to buy a special gift for a daughter or niece any time soon, you ought to know that beauty, glitters, bright feminine colors and sweet dresses will surely be a hit with small girls. Butterfly costume wings and tutu skirts are just some of the various items you can choose from the wide variety of princess-inspired costumes on the market. Of course, other items include dresses, make-up, clips, hairpieces and other accessories.

Did you see us on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition?

Tonight our products were featured on the ABC TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

They reconstructed a home for a family whose son is battling leukemia. As most of their shows are, this one was very emotional. The boy, Cameron is nine and has an amazing spirit. While in the midst of battling the disease, he started an organization called Be+ (Be Positive) to help other cancer patients.

Their home was completely demolished and rebuilt. They had issues with mold and the indoor air quality was especially hard on Cameron due to his illness. The Extreme Makeover construction & design teams did a first class job, as usual.

Cameron is a sports fan, particularly hockey and skateboarding and they did an excellent job of making his room fit those themes. His older brother is a soccer fan, so his room had an illuminated soccer mural above the bed and had the colors of his favorite soccer team.
His little sister's room was decorated with a butterfly theme. We supplied the hanging nylon butterflies, the butterfly wings and several other pieces of butterfly decor.

Gotta love that show - spreading a positive message of hope and promoting community spirit. Just wish more television shows would follow their lead.
